On Friday, April 12, 2024, the Executive Committee of the International Relations and Diplomacy Network Ghana (IRDN Ghana) paid a courtesy call at the Kokomlemle office of the Multimedia Group. Eunice Dede Tornyi, the interim head of the Management Committee (IMC), led the team. The IRDN Ghana delegation was warmly received by Mr. Ken Ansah, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Multimedia Group, alongside Fiifi Koomson, GM Joy Brands; Richardson Doe, GM Technology; AC Ohene, Senior Editor Adom Brands; Raymond Larbie, HR Manager; and Abdulai Awudu, GM Adom Brands, all of whom recognised the significance of IRDN Ghana as a pioneering body in its field. During the visit, Eunice Tornyi acknowledged Multimedia Group’s reputation as stalwarts in their field and expressed the mission of the network to collaborate and provide resources for discussions related to international relations and diplomacy. The IRDN Ghana team emphasised the network’s commitment to bridging the gap between theory and practice in the country’s international relations, as this can enrich the national discourse on diplomatic matters. Samantha Wuta-Ofei , the acting head of the IRDN’s Education and Training Institute, shared insights into the network’s future activities. These activities include global policy dialogues, training programmes, publications, and more, all of which are aimed at enhancing Ghana’s engagement in international affairs. The interim head of protocol at IRDN, Edna Cudjoe, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reiterated the eagerness of the network to collaborate with the Multimedia Group. On behalf of the Multimedia Group, Ken Ansah concluded that their doors are open to collaborations and partnerships of national interest. The visit signifies a significant step towards fostering collaboration between IRDN Ghana and the Multimedia Group, with the shared goal of promoting a deeper understanding of international relations and diplomacy within Ghana and beyond. As both entities continue to work together, they aim to contribute to the advancement of Ghana’s diplomatic efforts on the global stage.
